D.Sc.(Tech.) Sakari Tervo

is a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science, Aalto University School of Science. The topic of his research is on the objective room acoustic measures. He is a member of the Virtual Acoustics team supervised by Tapio Lokki and Lauri Savioja.

Previously he has been working in the Department of Signal Processing, Tampere University of Technology from where he also graduated as a Master of Science majoring in Audio Signal Processing in 2006. After his master's studies he worked as a visitor in the Digital Signal Processing Group of Philips Research, Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and after that as an engineer at Nokia, Devices R&D, Tampere, Finland. In Spring 2010, he was visiting in the Department of Electronics of the University of York, United Kingdom.

Dr. Tervo is also a member of the Acoustical Society of Finland.
