Miika Aittala

About

I am a graduate student at Aalto University, currently working on my PhD thesis on material appearance capture for computer graphics applications. My thesis advisor is Jaakko Lehtinen . My general research interests span a variety of topics related to computer graphics, computer vision and mathematics, including light transport, numerical methods, inverse problems and machine learning.

Prior to Aalto, I worked at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland in the Augmented Reality group. I also visited NVIDIA Research as an intern in the winter of 2012.
